Corneal Refractive
Therapy, CRT, is a nonsurgical method of correcting vision
without the use of glasses, daytime contact lenses, or
surgery. This safe and painless technique utilizes a special
contact lens device that is worn at night while asleep.
During the
night, the cornea (the clear covering of the eye) is gently
reshaped so that light will focus correctly on the retina when the
lenses are removed in the morning. Clear vision remains
throughout the day.
CRT is an ideal
treatment option for children and for those for whom LASIK is not an option. It is
less expensive than LASIK, it is safe, and it is reversible!
