Dr. Friedberg, graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1979. He bought his first practice in the Medical Center where he saw patients until 1983.   At that time, he bought Bissonnet Optical in Alief where he practiced until 1993 when a fire forced him to move. Friedberg Vision Center in Stafford was then started and Dr. Friedberg practiced Family Eye Care there until 2003. In June, 2003, Dr. Friedberg moved his office to Sugar Land and began practicing under the name of Horizon Eye Care and Optical.

Dr. Friedberg has been happily married to his wife Linda for over 32 years.  They have one son named Andrew who lives in Bellaire with his wife Jennifer and their son Sam.  Dr. Friedberg enjoys the theater, going out to dinner with friends, and working on his computer. He loves to play golf and is quick to tell anyone who will listen that he carries a 4 handicap. When pressed, however, he readily admits the 4 handicaps are his drives, chips, pitch shots, and putts.
